Francisco Fontes

Francisco Fontes was born in Braga in 1993. At the age of 6, he started his musical studies in the Calouste Gulbenkian Conservatory in Braga. Here, he attended trombone classes with Zeferino Pinto, completing the eighth degree, and also studied musical composition and analysis with Paulo Bastos, André Ruiz and Ana Paula Moura. In 2012, he entered in the bachelor degree in musical composition from the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, under the supervision of Luís Tinoco and João Madureira. In complementary subjects, he collaborated with António Pinho Vargas, Carlos Caires, Carlos Marecos, José Luís Ferreira, Sérgio Azevedo, Roberto Pérez, Paulo Lourenço, Alberto Roque, among others. His musical works have been played, namely, in Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, Teatro São Luiz, Royal College of Music, Conservatório de Braga, Theatro Circo.
