Submundo

Submundo is a work of obscure sonorities, punctually marked by brighter moments. The rhythmic ostinatos in the low register explore various harmonic grounds, in order to set a sense of vertical harmony on an instrument with unique horizontally musical abilities. The rare passages on the high register bring some clarity to the blurring fast groups. In the end, the piece surrenders to the long notes, definitively releasing it from the underworld that characterizes it initially. Sara Claro
